One of the reasons why the children of Baharini Primary School are so successful in their district  is because of the Daily Food Programme. By feeding their bodies, you are feeding their hopes & dreams....support the Food Programme today. 

One of the biggest needs in most African schools will always be SPACE. There is never enough! Right now the government will only provide the number of teachers to the number of classrooms. Baharini has 16 classrooms, therefore only 16 teachers are provided and paid for by the government. This is the same for the new High School. That means bigger class sizes and less learning. On average each class is close to 80 children. Let's fix that! 

Although Primary and Secondary School has  been free in Kenya since 2008, the infrastructure and budgets given to the education systems are not enough to support the amount of children in each school and the amount of schools themselves. There is simply not enough. That is why Day High Schools are more important than ever, so families are not torn apart by young learners having to leave home early for a boarding school and the cost will be affordable to the average Kenyan family.
